Website development

A fast gym website that Google and ChatGPT can actually read.

Static, fast and AI-readable, built to sit beside Gymdesk, PushPress, Mindbody or Glofox rather than replace them. Bookings stay in your software. Pricing, timetable and classes become real HTML that a search engine can index and an assistant can quote.

02Works with your booking platform

Your booking software keeps the bookings. Your website gets the facts out where they can be read.

Booking platforms are good at memberships, payments, class bookings and waivers. They are bad at being found, because everything they render lives inside a widget a crawler cannot see. We split the job: they do theirs, the site does the rest.

Gymdesk

Trial sign-ups and memberships deep-link into your Gymdesk flow. The class list and prices are mirrored as HTML.

PushPress

Landing-page and checkout links stay in PushPress. Your programme pages carry the prices and schedule in text.

Mindbody

The Mindbody widget keeps doing bookings. A crawlable timetable and pricing table sit beside it, not inside it.

Glofox

Glofox handles the app, payments and waivers. Your site states what each class is, when it runs and what it costs.

Also Clubworx, Wodify, Zen Planner, TeamUp and anything else that offers a booking link or an embed. Where a platform publishes a public schedule we can draw from it; where it does not, the timetable is mirrored by hand and kept current as part of the quick-edit block.

What becomes crawlable HTML

The things a prospect wants to know before they book, and the things Google and AI assistants need to read before they can recommend you. The widget problem in one list.

  • Pricing, as a real table with a “current from” date, not an exported image.
  • The timetable, as HTML the crawler can read, mirrored from your platform and kept in sync as a quick edit.
  • A page per class or programme: who it is for, what a first session looks like, who coaches it.
  • Coaches, with real names and real credentials.
  • Location, parking, public transport and what to bring, written for someone who has never walked in.
  • The questions your front desk answers every day, as text on the page rather than a chatbot.

03Proof

The site you are reading is the specification.

We build client sites the way we built this one. Open the developer tools in your browser and run Lighthouse on this page. What you see is what your gym gets.

01Standard

Static HTML, pre-built

No CMS, no database, no plugin to patch on a Friday night. Pages are files on a global edge network and load in the time it takes to blink.

02Standard

No trackers, no banner

No advertising or tracking scripts. Analytics is Cloudflare’s cookieless beacon and nothing else, so there is nothing to ask consent for and nothing following anyone between sites.

03Standard

Self-hosted fonts

Type is served from your own domain. No call to Google Fonts, no layout shift while a face loads in from somewhere else.

04Standard

AVIF and WebP images

Photos are converted and sized per screen at build time. A phone on 4G in a car park gets a photo built for a phone on 4G in a car park.

05Standard

Security headers and a strict CSP

HSTS, frame denial and a content-security policy that only allows what the site actually uses. The kind of setup a bank would pass.

06Standard

Structured and crawlable

Organisation, service, breadcrumb and article schema. A sitemap, a robots.txt, an llms.txt. Real headings, keyboard-navigable, contrast checked.

100/100 on Lighthouse is the target we build to and check at launch and every month after. It is our standard, not a guarantee: scores move with the device, the network and the tool’s own scoring changes, and a page with a lot of photos will sometimes land in the high nineties.

04Two ways to buy it

A managed subscription, or a one-off build you own outright.

Most single-location gyms take the managed plan because it turns the website into a bill about the size of a phone plan and makes the changes someone else’s problem. If you would rather own the code on day one, we quote the build.

Managed website

$99–179per month, AUD

Build, hosting, SSL, maintenance and a capped block of quick edits, for a monthly fee. No separate onboarding fee: the build is included.

  • Design and build of the site, written from your content and your photos.
  • Hosting on a global edge network, SSL and security headers.
  • Maintenance: dependency updates, monitoring, fixes when something changes upstream.
  • A capped block of quick edits each month: a price change, a new coach, a timetable update, a new class.
  • A monthly performance check so the site stays as fast as the day it launched.

Minimum initial term of 3 months, then month-to-month with 30 days’ notice. No 12-month lock-ins.

You own your domain, your content and every account. If you leave, the price to take the site with you is disclosed in the agreement before you sign.

Own it outright

On quotefixed scope, after the teardown

The same site and the same standard, paid once. You get the code, the accounts and the documentation on launch day.

  • Fixed scope and a fixed quote after the free teardown.
  • The same build standard as the managed plan, including the crawlable pricing and timetable.
  • Source code, documentation and every account handed over on launch day.
  • Host it yourself, or move onto the managed plan for hosting and edits.

Where the scope is not yet clear, the free teardown is the first step and the quote follows it. Nothing is billed until the scope is written down and agreed.

05Process

From teardown to launch, in the order it actually happens.

Most single-location gym sites go from content sign-off to launch in a few weeks. The date goes in the quote, and the thing that moves it is almost always how quickly we get the photos.

  1. Free teardown

We review your current site and booking setup and show you what a crawler can and cannot read. You get the findings whether or not you hire us.

  2. Scope and quote

We agree what stays in your booking platform, what becomes HTML, and what content we need from you. Fixed scope, written down, with the launch date and the buyout figure in the agreement.

    Week 1

  3. Content and build

We write from what you give us: class descriptions, coach bios, prices, timetable, photos. You review it on a private staging link before anything goes live.

06Questions

Ownership, cancelling and the site you already have.

Who owns the site?

You own your domain, your content, your photos, your Google accounts and your booking platform, from day one and regardless of plan. On a one-off build you own the code too, handed over at launch. On the managed plan the build is licensed to you while you subscribe, and the price to take it outright is written into your agreement before you sign, not invented when you leave.

What happens if I cancel?

The managed plan has a minimum initial term of 3 months, then runs month-to-month with 30 days’ notice. When you give notice you choose: buy the site out at the figure already in your agreement and take it wherever you like, or let it come down at the end of the notice period. Either way your domain was always yours, your content is exported for you, and nothing is held hostage.

Can you fix my current site instead?

Sometimes. If you are on WordPress, Squarespace or Wix and the problem is that your pricing is an image and your timetable is an iframe, we can usually make those crawlable on the site you have as part of the SEO work. If the site is slow, hacked, or locked to a builder that will not let us change what matters, we will say so plainly and quote a rebuild rather than bill you for patching.

Will I lose my booking system?

No. That is the whole point. Gymdesk, PushPress, Mindbody, Glofox and most others do memberships, payments, class bookings and waivers well. Your website should not try to replace that. It should be found, make the case, and hand the person over to your platform with one tap.

What does it cost?

The managed website is $99–179 per month in AUD, covering the build, hosting, SSL, maintenance and a capped block of quick edits. There is no separate onboarding fee; the build is included. One-off builds are quoted after the free teardown. Full detail on the pricing page.

Do I need the SEO plan as well?

No. The managed website stands on its own, and a fast, crawlable site is worth having whether or not anyone is working on your profile and reviews. Most gyms that come for the site end up asking about local SEO once they see what the crawler was missing, but it is a separate decision.

Will a faster site get me ranked?

We do not guarantee rankings, leads or memberships. Speed and crawlability are table stakes: they stop you being filtered out, they do not put you on top. What a good site does is make every enquiry that search sends you more likely to convert, and give Google and AI assistants something true to say about you.

Why not WordPress?

Because a gym website changes a few times a month, not a few times an hour. A static site has nothing to hack, nothing to update on a schedule and nothing between the visitor and the page. The trade-off is that you make changes through us rather than through a dashboard, which is what the quick-edit block on the managed plan is for.

What do you need from me?

Your prices, your timetable, a paragraph about each class and each coach, photos of real people in your actual gym, and someone who can say yes. We write the rest. Stock photos of models in a gym you do not own make the site slower and the visitor more suspicious.
